No, not that kind of fantasy. Pervs.
"The Nation's Newspaper" is still publishing (guess that's the news in this item) and provided the least significant person in the United States Senate space on its opinion page to explain how the Democratic health care plan will kill all the old people and put sugar in your gas tank and steal all the white women or whatever this week's Republican objections to reform happen to be.
That is, the newspaper decided to go along and pretend that someone somewhere might care about something, anything, having to do with John Ensign that is not related to him schtupping his best friend's wife and then trying to silence all involved with mommy and daddy's money and the illegal use of the clout that he once but no longer has.
In the opinion piece, a man who got his parents to pay $96,000 so he could have sex with the wife of some guy whom Ensign had already enriched rather handsomely via cronyism warns that health care reform will be bad for "working families" struggling to make ends meet, as if he knows any other than his domestic servants and the kid that cleans his golf cleats.
So whoever wrote the article for Ensign has a sense of humor. (Psst ... nobody tell Ensign that his staff is punking him).
Oh yeah. Erstwhile Hairdo crony and (still?) Ensign cuckold Doug Hampton says Ensign threw a party for him and his wife, Cindy (the woman Ensign "used ... for my own pleasure") in a lame attempt to make everyone think that the Ensigns and the Hamptons were all pure and clean and good in Goddy McGod's eyes or some sleazy hypocritical thing. That and more on Nightline Monday (which is still on the air -- guess that's the other news in this item).
Ensign writes in the op-ed piece that "Public sentiment for this bill will not come from seniors who will see Medicare cut by half a trillion dollars. "...and yet, the Republican House members just last Friday voted against spending more money for the Medicare Physician Payment Reform Act! There is some billions of dollars in Medicare fraud, I guess going after that is a "cut", too?
On Saturday, in Senate debate on the health care bill, there were mulitple Republican senators (among them Alexander, Isakson, Kyle...), arguing for no increase in Medicare spending and thus, in effect, calling for cuts to Medicare to bring it in line with withering revenues.
The Medicare hospital insurance portion (HI) is now broke and the other parts will be before 2016, and thus requiring billions in either cuts or taxes, yet the Republicans won't piss or shit.
I loath Ensign's last line about 'tort reform'. As I've noted before, this issue was in Bush's state of the union addresses in 2005 and 2006 and yet there were only three bills, all from the House, all from Democrats (Dingle), all died in committee, that addressed medical tort reform. Ensign and his partners should first answer why they did not EVER create a single bill addressing tort reform when they controlled both houses of congress for all of those consecutive years: 12 years of consecutive control of the House-not medical tort reform legislation by a single R!
Ensign and his bunch are not engaged in public policy debate but in theater!

We know Ensign didn't write it, as his IQ hovers around that of a potted plant.
Let him write all the propaganda pieces he wants at the behest of his GOP masters.
Ensign is garbage, pure and simple.
He is scum, a loser, a creep, a predator, a PIECE OF SHIT.

And a rape-condoner: http://www.republicansforrape.org/legislators/
Rot in hell, John Ensign -- and all the sorry-ass GOPers who condone this evil.

Ensign: "I did nothing illegal" !!
Why do companies hire a lobbyist?
It's so that the lobbyist makes the company more money than the company pays the lobbyist in salary.
Who did Hampton lobby - besides Ensign?
Ensign knew that the 100's of 1,000's of dollars Hampton would be making in salary would be the result of millions of dollars in revenue received by the hiring company - coming directly from Ensign's Senatorial actions.
For those of "gentle persuasion" - that's millions of tax dollars going to a company that hired Doug Hampton because John Ensign wanted to pay hush money! Legally!!!

John Ensign is still in office because of a very "simple minded" constituency!
I've read their reponses praising his "coming forward and repenting publicly for his sins" and everyone should forgive as Christ forgave us. "
"Judge not lest ye be judged"
"Let he without sin cast the first stone"
"Before you talk about the splinter in the other guy's eye, remove the log from your own"
... "Ad nauseam"
When I was younger I used to get so mad at so-called "yellow dog democrats". Democrats that would vote for anyone, regardless of their criminal background or despicable behaviour - just as long as they were a "democrat". Once in office, these democrats were allowed to do anything - especially by their democrat constituency - simply because "he's our man!"
I thought them "simple minded".
... the major factors in the erosion of our society
Now I'm witnessing the exact same behaviour by the republican backers of John Ensign - witnessing their "Co-Dependent" behaviour.
For all you foolish "simple minded" John Ensign faithful -
The only reason John Ensign came forward and admitted his "sex-fest" with Mrs Hampton was to beat Fox News to the punch!!
It was nothing more than a very transparent attempt at damage control -
Transparent to everyone except "Yellow Dog Republicans"
