The latest obscure and hopeless Republican toying with the idea of running against Harry Reid is one Chuck Kozak, a Reno attorney who proudly touts his "commitment to injustice" (RJ).
Sigh. All of this would be a lot more fun if a) Reid were to give at least some signal, no matter how half-hearted, that he realizes his job title is "senate majority leader" and b) anyone other than Republicans -- be it the Anybody But Reid "anti" camp or the "pro" forces epitomized by juicemonger Sig Rogich -- actually cared whether Harry Reid gets reelected.
Here's another one for Chuck:
Vote for me, I'm a baffoon.

From the website of the FEC: "If no official documents of an authorized committee appear below, the
individual identified here has taken no action to become a candidate."
There are two "Kozak"s listed, one in CT and one in MD and none whose first name begins with a "C".
The R-J Tabloid reports he has established an 'exploratory committee', hired consultants, is doing polling and put out a campaign flier. Certainly sounds like a guy whose name should be found in the FEC database. I guess Kozak's expenses and contributions haven't yet reached $5k.
As for "FRIENDS OF SHARRON ANGLE", as of this minute, there is not a single donor listed in the website of the FEC. Not one single penny even raised and reported for FEC committee ID C00460758!

Question for Kozak: Do you own a home on Pleasant Hill, Ca? What about one in Walnut Creek, CA?
He is a good golfer!

I think you will find a good many Nevadans care if Harry Reid is re-elected and those who don't probably should. I find it humorous that many on the left don't see the irony in their indifference to the re-election of someone whom Rush and ilk hate so much. I think if you had the chance to ask the President about his legislative successes to date, you would get a much better view of Senator Reid's value as a leader of a group which is often largely incapable of being led. And don't forget his role in getting a majority back in both Houses. AS to the benefits of his leadership positon to Nevada, if you don't know or even care to find out, that's a little sad.

I agree with Sloan. We should be giving our wives to Harry Reid, NOT John Ensign!

goldy, do you have a wife?

Mike is right. Reid is valuable to Nevada and to the Democratic party. Do I always agree with him? Far from it. I do believe he has brought projects to Nevada for jobs, etc. and as far as his role as a leader he is admired and respected. As a Nevadan in Washington he has represented us well.
When you consider too the likes of Gibbons in Washington who accomplished nothing, was not respected nor valued or even Heller or Ensign how could anyone who lives in Nevada now want Harry Reid in Congress?

I had a wife. I gave her away. She refused to have sex with a wealthy guy so I could then extort money from him. I thought that was selfish...

Is that *the* Mike Sloan, the distinguished general counsel of the erstwhile Mandalay Resort Group? Welcome to our midst, sir! I'll bet you also know chapter and verse on the junior senator from Nevada, young Mr. Ensign, late of Nevada Landing.
