A bad day on the golf course is better than a good day schtupping your employee's wife, or something like that

These boys were photographed in March 2007 at the Annual Jim Gibbons Golf Tournament and Republican Wife Swap. Behold the pride on the face of the nation's creepiest governor as he bestows the coveted Governor's Cup to the team led by his kindred spirit and eager protege, Sen. Hairdo.

Just kidding. Mostly. The team had just won the the seventh annual Governor's Black-Tie Invitational at Southern Highlands Golf Club, a charity thingy. Ensign would be schtupping his golf partner's wife by the end of the year, and ultimately fail to keep the affair quiet despite paying thinly veiled hush money and hooking up subsequent employment for the Hampton family with firms run by Ensign's cronies. Sigh.

But John and Doug will always have that magical day when they worked together to shoot a simply magnificent 25 under par!

Meantime, would someone care to explain why no one has provided your Gleaner with a picture of Ensign's girlfriend (and for the last time, though her preoccupation with churchy angst does make her sound exactly like somebody Ensign would have an affair with, that fallen Jehovah's Witness woman whose picture has surfaced on some websites that are more reckless than this one -- yes, there are such places -- is not the same Cynthia Hampton). C'mon, get on the stick, people!

No one has mentioned that maybe there is someone else to blame...Darlene Ensign!!!

Maybe there were some things Darlene was just philosophically opposed to...like, tax breaks for the rich. Maybe she felt like that kind of policy was unfair, or dirty...??? Maybe, because Darlene believed it was fair for the U.S. taxpayer to actually pay for wars and bail-outs, she sent her husband out into the philosophical arms of another. Maybe because Darlene was not a tea bagger, J.E. had to teabag someone else...???

Additionally, any real golfer hates to play in scramble tournaments like the one pictured above. They are long days of a sport that is like a round of golf, but not really. Usually, they are for good causes so you can tolerate a long day with some pals.

But you have violated "man code" when you drag me out for a scramble tournament for 6 hours then bang my wife. A couple of rounds at Congressional, Shadow Creek when I am back in town, o.k., maybe some heavy petting. Pebble, you can kiss her with tongue. Augusta--well, let's just say, "Kids, where do you want Daddy to take you to dinner?"

If you want me to play in a scramble with you, it is more appropriate to offer your wife.

Point well taken. Loretta Sanchez has cultivated a public image of a slut, from the Playboy Mansion fundraiser stunt during the 2000 Dem Convention, to her racy x-mas cards, to her relentless flirting. So, since she advertised her lack of moral boundaries, respect for marriage, and basic professionalism, who are we to criticize when she poaches on assigned married escorts during official travel! That's perfectly OK, cuz she's not a damned moral hypocrite. She is what she advertises.
