A reader requests that something mean be said about the Las Vegas Review-Journal, which is a newspaper, because while the paper published a story on the CNN/Time poll showing Barack Obama beating the jodhpurs off of John Sidney McCain III, the paper apparently ran it way back with the truss ads (the reader must be trusted on that one because she is apparently the last person in Southern Nevada who actually reads the print version of the newspaper).
Hmm. Something mean about the RJ. Let's see ... nobody should buy an ad in a newspaper ever again because print is dead. But the paper isn't going to admit it, nor will the ad agencies who make their money placing ads in the paper, and so here again is yet another instance where it's the hapless bidnessman who pays for the ad who is always the last to know.
What? You were expecting something about the RJ's blatant ideological tomfoolery? Eh. Old hat.
Meantime, the state Democrats are crowing about the latest super snazzy voter registration numbers -- now there are 80,000 more of them then there are of the Republicans 'round here. And an Insider Advantage poll has Obama leading in Nevada 48 to 47 (via Pollster).
Sidney pulled out of Michigan Thursday, because he's a defeatist. Maybe he'll pull out of Nevada next.
Pulling out is not 100% effective...

The R-J is Las Vegas' only daily tabloid; it is NOT a newspaper.

Welcome back, Gleaner, and congratulations to all the fill-ins, who did a great job.
I suppose you haven't heard, but with the Detroit Tigers not in the post-season, McCain suspended the campaign in Michigan to show his sympathy for them. But he plans to start again in spring training.

Lvenquirer, The R-J isn't a tabloid! Tabloids are interesting, entertaining, occasionally insightful! The R-J is a collection of wire stories, right-wing commentary, news stories that lean rightward thanks to editor's interference and ads, ads, plenty of beautiful ads. But it's no tabloid.
