Inspired by the uplifting message of hope that the McCain-Palin ticket has been spreading throughout the land in the last week, and in particular the vital message the campaign has emphasized over the last couple of days, a message that is so very, very crucial to so many working families in Nevada and the nation over who are struggling to make ends meet, the Gleaner humbly offers this pictorial tribute to your Republican Party.
Granted, it is but poor comfort to all the Republicans who are so sincerely outraged over the obvious sexism practiced by Barack Obama -- especially considering that the Republicans have fought so hard for so very long for equality in the workplace and the right of women to make their own choices.
But what the hell ... some replacement photo manipulation software (it's a Vista thing; don't ask) was installed here at Gleaner HQ and, well, playtime ensued.
Not that that in any way distracts from the indisputable soundness of the fundamental fact that lipstick or no, they are pigs. Yes, Churchy Spice included.

Have you seen the little piggies in their starched white shirts....

Let’s face it: a lo que le gusta la sarna, no le pica. Whoever likes this mangey mess can’t complain about the itching. We’re awake in a nightmare now. There’s little we can do at this point save go through the motions. Lies and hate and evil and its mass marketing trump truth and community and the desire for goodness in America. That’s what we’re learning all over again ― as if we ever had reason to believe anything else. Democrats don’t know how to do much else but lose elections; and Republicans don’t know how to win one without papering over the whole world with hateful lies. Lies win. Truth loses. ¡Ay! ¿Qué pasa a mi país? ¿Por Dios — qué pasó a la América que amo?

Well chubby bubby Bobby Beers is there.

Hey Hugh, maybe you should try the Heath Ledger "joker" smile on those characters instead! Except, really, isn't the joke on those who vote for them???

White House says " Osama Bin Ladin who? No shit Shakespeare!
A favored, and frightening comment: "You can go along with what the Ministry of Truth sayeth or face the Ministry of Love."
Where is my America?

Only Bush Cheney Rove would, with a straight face, with such audacity, try to sell unmitigated bullshit to the American and world public.
Rewriting history seems to be just anopther part of the right wing standard operating procedure now.
I can't wait to hear more on this.
