Today Iraq. Tomorrow the world. Now that Barack Obama has shown that he's the one who is the beloved commander-in-chief and the foreign policy expert-texpert, as evidenced by throngs of adoring troops and everybody in all the countries agreeing with every word he says, a couple quotations come to mind.
"This is the first election in my lifetime where a substantial number of Americans will actually cast their vote based on what they think the rest of the world will think about America." That was Bill Clinton in Reno eleven months ago.
Oh, the other quote? Eh, you've seen it eleventy-seven times, going back to at least February of '07.
Oops, almost forgot ... John Sidney McCain III is still running for president too, isn't he? So how would his campaign fight back against the Obama World Victory Lap? Oh look, here comes their sophisticated strategy now in the form of yet another ad running in Nevada ...
Translation: "Oh yeah, Barack Obama? Well ... you ... but ... but ... but Obama made all the gas prices so high so he's a stinky poophead."
Sidney the III shouldn't be too hard on himself. Surely the excitement of naming Tim Pawlenty, Joe Lieberman or -- be still the Gleaner's beating heart -- Willard as his vice presidential pick will energize the electorate.
Meantime, wanna watch Obama-wan sink the three-pointer again? Well alrighty then.
but the troops hate Obama. I'm puzzled.

Me too Myrna, but according to the 'real' Americans like Bush, Cheney, Newt and Sidney 3, Barrack H Obama is not much of an American given his name and his skin tone. Of course the 'real' Americans and their GOP sycophants also think the rest of us are raving liberal lunatics and can't understand why we don't bend to their fear-mongering.
Go figure.
