When you think of the former first lady's courageous bid to be the first ever woman president whose husband was already president, no doubt the term "New Beginning" comes to mind.
And in an amazing coincidence, that's the title of the Hillary Clinton teevee ad scheduled to begin beaming into magic lanterns throughout the state Tuesday.
Yes, alert readers, Tuesday is in fact the same day that the Obama-wan campaign starts running its maiden teevee ad in Nevada. The coincidences just keep on coming.
Anyway, the Clinton ad, like the Obama ad, is all touchy-feely positive stuff, which is exactly the type of political ad we hate most. Plus, it's too long and after watching it once we're already sick of it. But that's just us.
Anytime, Edwards people. May we suggest a variation of the "it's time for the Democratic Party to show a little backbone" selection? Except without the farmers, please.
Could someone explain to me what the "35-year record" she's talking about is? I mean, its fair for her to run on her Senate record, if she thinks its a selling point.
But 35 years ago was 1972, and for the life of me I can't figure out what she is claiming to have "experience" doing.
I know she was on the Watergate committee.
Since then, before winning an open seat in New York with a whopping 54% of the vote after her competitor dropped out while ahead, she's been, among other things, a corporate lawyer who represented banks in Arkansas, served on the Wal-Mart board, chaired a presidential commission on health care that set back the cause 15 years, and wrote a cute book about raising children.
I really could find positive things to say about Clinton. If only she would stop trying to treat us all like idiots.

I'm with ya "Gus" - What has Hillary really done in 35 years - specifically please?
Fighting?
Oh, PUHLEEZE - she must really believe that being the spouse of a career politician and thinking and talking, and talking some more is the same as "fighting"!
