Inspired by newly reported gains against a despised enemy, White House surrogates Thursday announced plans to escalate the administration's surge in the global war on MoveOn.org.
Administration financial operations specialist and Las Vegas union hater Sheldon Adelson, along with a handful of substantially less wealthy and marginally less odious officials in the Bush administration's covert propaganda arm, launched a new televised offensive against the much-hated non-profit group.
While recent polling has shown that people of the United States have grown skeptical and weary of the ongoing war against administration critics, War Party presidential contenders such as Dolph JulieAnnie and a couple other vaguely familiar really old guys seized on reports indicating that some of the richest private warlords in the world had elements of MoveOn on the run.
"I was mayor on that tragic very first day of my presidential campaign when MoveOn.org hijacked the planes and flew them into the World Trade Center," JulieAnnie said, spittle flying from his ferret-like mouth like bullets from an automatic weapon that he now thinks everybody should be able to own except his fellow New Yorkers.
"We cannot afford to retreat until either every teacher, waitress, accountant, nurse, student and the hundreds of thousands of other Americans who belong to MoveOn.org are all hunted down and brought to justice," said some old man named John McCain, "or conversely, until the larger cable news community determines that an escalation in the war on MoveOn is no longer good for ratings or the political agenda of those who own the cable channels."
Meantime, Adelson, the shadowy White House message financier, recently explained the crucial nature of what exactly is at stake in all the many wars he loves in an unusually candid interview with the Times of India:
"In India, the manpower is abundant and very cheap, and that makes investment very enticing."
"Manpower here (in Macao) is cheap."
"Tax rates in Macau are much higher than in Vegas, but we intend to balance that with the much cheaper manpower here."
Adelson's comments served as a stern reminder: While his radical enthusiasm for unchecked military aggression and ill-conceived global warmongering has garnered media attention of late, the area bitchy megalomaniac and preening prima donna has not abandoned his lower-profile, long-running war against Southern Nevada. In that struggle for freedom, Adelson has clearly and unequivocably defined victory as the systematic gutting of the local economy from the inside out by breaking the union that is responsible for the very existence of the community's middle class, then steadily reducing gaming/hotel industry wages and benefits until they match those in India and Macao. Just fyi.
Well, at least now we all know the secret to becoming a billinaire .. Don't waste money on high-priced salon treatments when you can just as easily color your bouffant at home with Rite-Aid bargain-brand hair dye. Btw, anybody know where ol' Shel's big Welcome-to-Sin-City bash for "big-time" Dick will be? The LAST Republican fund-raiser was held at the Apollo baths in Commercial Center..

At least Cheney doesn't dye his head. But maybe he'll shoot Sheldon in the face?

Adelson's greed appears to be matched only by his sense of self importance.
