Idaho Sen. Larry Craig trundled out in front of the cameras in Boise Tuesday and said he wouldn't be gay if it wasn't for the media (Evil Idaho Statesman)
Craig said he would have never propositioned a policeman in the Mpls. airport bathroom if he hadn't been pressured into doing so by the pesky Idaho Statesman, Boise's dead tree of record. Further, the policeman would never arrested Craig if not for the cosmic influence of the Statesman's ongoing investigation, Craig said. And needless to say, Craig would never have pleaded guilty to propositioning a policeman in a bathroom if the evil Idaho Statesman, by unfairly asking questions of and about a U.S. senator, hadn't beaten down Craig's capacity for sound judgment and rendered him temporarily insane.
Meantime, check out Tuesday morning's story in the Statesman, and see for yourself how the paper, by cruelly and maliciously refusing to publish any stories about Craig's sexuality until his arrest was broken by Roll Call, cleverly disoriented Craig's cognitive powers and, of course, made him gay.
UPDATE: Inasmuch as the Senate is in recess, he no doubt had to do it from the 11th tee, but dang if Nevada's very own John Ensign isn't among the War Party's Senate "leadership" scrambling to cut and run from Larry Craig (MSNBC). The Hairdo's stance, by the way, is reportedly neither too wide nor too narrow, but just right. When he's addressing his balls. Oh come on, on the golf course. Jeesh, you people have filthy minds.
This is hilarious!~! As criminal and convicted gay public nusuance Craig cops a puny plea that "he did not have sex with than man in a public mens toilet look carefully over his left shoulder and see if you see what I see.

During an early-afternoon jaunt to the loo today, I became consciously aware of my stance. I never did before and, fortunately for me, the stall next to me was empty. This gave me an opportunity to practice various stances and enabled me to find one that is (a) comfortable and (b) would not place my foot anywhere near anyone else's. I believe I have achieved a near-perfect stance and therefore will not fall victim to any media witch hunts about my defecatory style.

When Craig says he is "not gay" it makes we wonder (you know what wordsmiths politicians are), if he means he is not exclusively male partner sexual, and thus, since he has sex with his woman wife, he is bi-sexual, and "bi" is not "gay". Any thoughts.

Not that there's anything wrong with it...

I wonder when this sort of story will come out about Richard Ziser...

When he says that he "pled guilty to a lesser charge" of "lewd behavior," this makes me wonder -- what did they charge him with originally?
And doesn't a guilty plea imply an acceptance of the truth of the charges? So if he did plead guilty to a "lesser charge" but is now claiming the charge to which he pled is not true, could he not be arraigned and tried for the original charge?

They probably charged Craig with rank hypocrisy. He wouldn't have understood what he was pleading to in that case.

Why is it that so many in the GOP seem to have wide stances this summer?
Posted by: Vigilante | 08/29/2007 at 07:38 AM
Probably because they're become so used to getting the finger wave from the pres it's become their normal posture.

Vigilante,
Visualize the way Bush walks while on the ranch.....he has Cheney's hand up his ass moving his lips while the Repugs in Congress have Rove's.

Most straight men would be ticked about being propositioned so it must have been pretty satisfying for the cop to finally show Craig his badge. Gotcha!
What I don't get is how Craig could ask the officer "what do you think of that" when showing the cop his senate card. Rather than being proud (and perhaps trying to intimidate), he should have been mortified! What should the cop and everyone else think of a United States senator for pete's sake acting like a garden variety perv??
This story makes me want to shower for all the wrong reasons, ick.
