The Put A Human Face on Hillary contest, complete with cheesy videos, has come to a close, and some underfed Canadian named Celine Dion won.
This is what we know about Celine Dion: Canada. Wraith. Caesars. Helicopter noise pissed off neighbors. Titanic. Chrysler.
Apparently the Celine song in question is titled "You and I." We never listen to lyrics so we have no idea ... is that the song from the Titanic movie? We sure hope so. That was a pretty song. We fell asleep in the movie -- holy smackers it was long -- how'd it end, anyway?
Oh well, no matter. We have every confidence that Celine can do as much for Clinton's presidential campaign as she did for Chrysler's automobile sales.

Hey, apropos of nothing (like we care), except maybe former Las Vegans of disputed planetary origins, has anybody noticed that there are far fewer Elvii in this town than there used to be? What's up with that?
She left Las Vegas? Where's the outrage?

Thats just the sort of substantive, values-oriented, politically savvy move that makes me wonder how far down a Clinton candidacy could drag the Democratic ticket in Nevada.
I wonder if Rory Reid will sing it when he goes canvassing with all those Team Hillary volunteers in Nye County.

Which begs the question: how important is Nevada for the Democratic presidential nominee after the primary?
I *hope* it remains so, if for no other reason than it may help us gain a majority in the Nevada Senate.

Any candidate who campaigns with a Celine Dion song gets our vote.

Wait a second! This morning on CNN the interview was with the Monkee's Mickey Dolenz and he said she was going to use one of their Neil Diamond written songs; a love song....but Dolenz said he supported Obama.
Maybe that confession "sunk" the Monkee's song for Hillarity!

Any candidate who campaigns with a Celine Dion song should be boiled alive in backbacon grease.

That just gives me flashbacks of Republican tricks circa 2006 , in Tennessee at the expense of Harold Ford

Alright....for one its not like she chose it. Users voted for which song was best and chose that one. But of course, anything to criticize her I guess...
Also, nice job avoiding The Sopranos spoof which has gotten a lot of favorable press on her part ;)

What?, let's try this again.
1. Go to this website.
2. Copy the whole long command below "Anchor Tag" and paste that where you want the link to start.
3. Delete the word url from the "url" part and insert the new url you want to reference there between the now empty parentheses you want to link to. e.g., if you wanted to ref CNN it would look like "http://www.cnn.com/" instead of "url".
4. Delete the words Text to be displayed between the arrows and replace this with the words you want. e.g. this would then look like >CNN< and only the word CNN shows up in your comments.
Should work now. Also works over on the monger.

Hugh, is this a statement -- leaving Celine Dion on your website for what, 12 hours now?
MAKE IT STOP!

What?, these are also some neat things to learn to use now that you have mastered the link.

"Texex" it's really nice to see someone is educating the electorate in the blogosphere! "What?!" is doing the right thing by NOT just keeping his new skills to himself - he's spreading the knowledge! It gives me hope that we can raise, recruit and train an army of progressive activists!
