From a release sent out Friday to Nevada press touting MoveOn.org's anti-FOX petition and the Foxattacks.com short film blasting the NV Dems over the FOX prez wannabe debate:
"Many local Nevada blogs, such as LasVegasGleaner.com and RenoDiscontent.com have also written about this issue. 'Nevada Dems getting outfoxed' was a recent headline on LasVegasGleaner."
Thank goodness they included Minx. Otherwise, area editors surely would have asked themselves, "What, these MoveOn people aren't wacky enough as it is, they've got to align themselves with that Gleaner ass clown?" With Minx in the mix, editors can say "well, at least they mention one credible website."
Anyway, while Gleaner and Minx are specifically mentioned in the release, want to take a guess who isn't?
Yes, Harry Reid.
Repetition being a key component of contemporary messaging, we suggest, again, that it is amusing to see MoveOn and the netrootniks pretty diligently refrain from putting the words "Harry Reid" into any of their materials hammering the Nevada Democratic Party.
So here's our humble plea to the area MSM. In the extremely unlikely event you are even tempted to contact the lowly Gleaner about all of this strangeness sometime, don't; call Harry instead. As of Friday afternoon, his silence on the issue was conspicuous.
(As a matter of fact, if somebody knows somebody who knows Harry, tell him to take a dip into the state party coffers or the Searchlight slush fund, er, PAC or whatever pot o' gold he's using for petty cash these days and give Nevada Democratic Spokestress Kirsten Searer a bonus for dealing with questions that rightly should have been fielded by Reid or even Cowboy Tom.)
As for the disposition of the debate and FOX's role in it, it seems a pretty safe bet at this point that Harry Reid -- or as the netroots insist on referring to him, the Nevada Democratic Party -- has gone into stubborn refusal to budge mode, which is to say the show will go on.
And that's probably fine ... more time for yet more stories in more legitimate media outlets than FOX about the propriety of FOX being involved in a Democratic debate, each one of those stories pounding home the underlying message of FOX's illegitimacy. Oh, and when the prez wannabes are asked about all this, they should all make a point to start their answers with, "Yes, it is odd to have an appendage of the Republican Party involved in putting on a Democratic debate ..."
Well aren't y’all the Bernstein and Woodward of NV blogs...I'm happy y’all get the recognition y’all deserve (southern rebel themed vocabulary for the Minx, she knows what a theme is).

Glad you got the recognition. Now let's get down and dirty. Here's what Democrats do. They have the forum. First thing, first candidate says, "By the way, I just wanted to correct the following lies by Sean Hannity," then list a few. And have each candidate do that sort of thing--which the Democrats would do if they had any balls at all.

Paine is dead on right, but sadly, the Dem candidates' most certainly lack the necessary "juevos" to follow this excellent suggestion.

Good job on the notoriety for both you and Myrna!
And boy can Reid dig his heels in when he thinks he is right. Watch this one closely.
As for me, I already have Faux News blocked from my viewing selection on my cable. No worries here that the Nevada Dems have to slut themselves like this.

Paine,
Regarding Hannity, here is what the February 2007 edition of the Nevada Republican Men's Club Newsletter (available on-line, natch), says about him at the President's Message on what is "actual vs. reality";
"Reality can be manipulated; the actual is determined by the post-mortem. Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh attempt to explain what is actually happening in a political world that is ninety percent marketing hype."
You can't make this stuff up!
Have a great Saturday.

Has anybody read Collins 2/23 statement re Fux on the NDSP website? It was put out White House style on Friday so as to fly under the radar of Gleaners and scandalmongers.
What a total crock of doodoo!~!~!

Collins is full of crap IF he really thinks anyone is going to believe that he, or Liz Foley, really supported Howard Dean's "50 State Strategy" - that's BULL!
Tom and Liz, reluctantly, targeted only ONE State Assembly District and only ONE State Senate district!
When news of that pathetic performance got back to the DNC, they made an additional minimal effort by doing only a second AD and Senate district (so, no one could criticize them for doing so little)!
Tons of "50 State Strategy" materials were just stacked and left to gather dust in the NSDP office!
The NSDP doesn't even have a 17 County Strategy!

I wrote Tommy and told him to change to KNPR and KLVX so it could be an unbiased reporting on the caucus or I would do my damnedest to cut him out of the NDC. It might help if more do that.
The National Public Broadcasting Corporation has the facilities, the commentators and will give the national exposure in an unbiased manner. All all of us have to do is demand it.

Great suggestion Jim Hyde!
It's time to stand up, speak up and be heard - or, be "herded" like sheep by a Cowboy named Tom Collins!
