Now that they're all posted at FEC -- and because Democrat Jill Derby is doing so very, very well -- we cobbled CD2 financials, with links, together in one spot for convenience. Our own, mostly.
CD2:
- Quarter: $190,000
- Total: $436,000
- Cash on hand: $351,000
- Quarter: $150,000
- Total: $655,000
- Cash on hand: $550,000
- Quarter: $87,000
- Total: $502,000
- Cash on hand: $223,000
- Quarter: $162,000
- Total: $526,000
- Cash on hand: $449,000
Notes
Derby: Some household names here -- Molasky, Greenspuns, etc., which is no big deal for a mainstream Democratic candidate, but underscores (along with the performance itself) the uniqueness of Derby's campaign compared to prior CD2 Democratic candidacies. One name that jumped out -- Wynn, as in Steve and Elaine. Both gave Derby $2,500.
Angle: As has been the case with her from the get-go, very little of her money is coming from Nevada -- only about about $14,500 of the $162,000 she raised in the quarter, which is to say less than 10 percent, came from Nevadans. Yet another reason why we're pulling for "the conservative we can count on" to win the primary.
Gibbons: Only $87,000? That's just weird. And while she's raised $500,000 to date, she spends in a manner that suggests she may not be much of a, you know, fiscal conservative, as she's only got $223,000 in cash on hand. In fact, Gibbons spent almost as much as she raised in the first quarter, ending the period with only $2,000 more cash on hand than she had when it started.
Heller: Along with the grown-ups from the gambling industry like Jim Murren of MGM, Station Casinos, etc., we were struck by $4,200 from one William Vassiliadis. C'mon Billy -- we know your enthusiasm for the political industry trumps any allegiance to a mere political party, but if there was ever a time to support one of your "fellow" Democrats, this'd be it. Give to both. It's the Nevada way.
Angle's money sources are interesting. There is a candidate for senator in RI that is being investigated for getting party money from other states.
Angle receiving $ from Maine and Mass. is peculiar.
