When she's not a raving wingnut, state Sen. Sandra Tiffany has had a contract to sell the Nevada Highway Patrol's surplus cruisers on the Internet thingy. Now the state ethics commission wants to know if Tiffany used her position as a state senator to boost her bidness selling, you know, government property. Tiffany's defense: She's the only person in the entire state of Nevada who knows how to sell a used Crown Vic on a website. AP
From the other PLAN -- the recently launched Progressive Legislative Action Network -- comes news that one Peter Biondi, a (Republican, of course) state assemblyman in New Jersey, has introduced legislation to basically ban anonymous blogging. That means you better watch out, Scandalmonger -- this assuredly is an idea that Jim Gibbons can get behind. Oh, the New Jersey guy, given his druthers, would effectively ban anonymously posted comments to blogs, too, which if transferred to Nevada would mean no more battling for the heart and soul of the Democratic Party like y'all did in the comment stream on that poll post the other day.
Titus, Gibbons are against sex offenders, area newspaper learns. LVRJ
Let's see the cards please...
Tiffany gets the Joker;
Assemblyman (district 21), Bob Seale gets the Senate;
..and NOT Bob Beers runs, and wins on name recognition, assembly district 21.
NOTBOB is that about how you see it?
You'll never take me alive, coppers!
